The ARK (Animal Care & Rescue) of McCurtain County is a Broken Bow nonprofit focused on companion-animal rescue, adoption support, and spay/neuter advocacy. Its mission centers on humane treatment for animals, including care for abandoned and abused pets, responsible pet ownership education, and efforts to reduce overpopulation across McCurtain County.

What makes the group stand out is its practical, hands-on approach: it helps place pets in adoptive homes, supports animals that need medical care, and promotes spay/neuter as a core solution for long-term change. It’s a good fit for people who want to adopt, help a stray, or support a local rescue that combines compassion with action and keeps the focus on pets and the families who love them.
