Beaver’s Bend State Park Forest Heritage Center is a forestry museum and event venue inside Beaver’s Bend State Park in Broken Bow, where visitors can explore Oklahoma’s forest story through large dioramas, historical displays, antique forestry tools, homestead memorabilia, and a research library. The center is known for its museum-in-the-round setting and for showcasing the region’s timber heritage, with exhibits that trace forests from prehistoric times through Caddo history, paper-making in the South, and 1940s lumbering.
It also plays a lively community role as a gathering place for nonprofit and local events, making it both an educational stop and a social one. One of its best-known traditions is the annual Forestry Banquet, along with a September golf tournament and live auction that benefit Log A Load For Kids and support children’s health charities, giving the center a purpose that reaches well beyond its exhibits.
