House Upon A Rock is a McCurtain County nonprofit resource center with locations in Broken Bow and Idabel, serving people in need through weekly meals, emergency food and basic supplies, referral services, need-based economic aid, and spiritual support. Faith-based and non-denominational, it’s known for meeting practical needs with a community-centered approach that also includes help connecting people to further resources.

The experience is hands-on and grounded in daily service: the Broken Bow location offers client intakes in the morning and serves a free meal on Tuesdays, while Idabel welcomes visitors on weekday mornings and serves its free meal on Thursdays. The organization operates on donations and is built around steady, local care, with meals often donated by area restaurateurs, retailers, churches, organizations, and private donors. Its work comes into focus in the simple rhythm of a community meal served at 5 p.m.
