Tucked along the Kiamichi River with the Kiamichi Mountains rising behind it, RiverBird Retreats welcomes quilters, crafters, and small groups for multi-night getaways in the heart of southeast Oklahoma's Kiamichi Valley, not far from the Talimena National Scenic Byway. Visitors come for the best of quilting amidst stunning mountain views at RiverBird Retreats, where creative space with independent stations, comfortable rolling chairs and task lighting awaits, and guests simply bring their quilting, sewing or crafting project and settle in.

A typical retreat weekend brings guests together Thursday through Sunday, with lodging spread across suites including the Eagle's Nest Suite with four twin beds, the Mockingbird Suite with four twin beds, and the special Kingfisher Suite with a king bed for two. Days unfold at an easy pace — stitching, stepping outside to watch the river, then returning to the work tables — while the separate crafting and sewing space accommodates up to ten guests with individual four-foot tables, a cutting station, two ironing stations, design walls, a kitchenette, refrigerator, coffee bar, and big screen smart TV. When hunger strikes, good eats can be found at the Ranch Restaurant less than a mile away. After the sewing machines quiet down for the evening, guests can unwind in the property's saltwater hot tub, soaking in river air and mountain views before another full day of creating begins.
