The Forest Store in Hochatown brings the Phillips family’s long-running wood-products business into a retail setting built around live-edge style, rustic character, and thoughtfully crafted home goods. The store’s mix includes live edge slabs, fireplace mantels, rustic furniture, countertops, butcher blocks, cutting boards, turning blanks, woodworking equipment, finishes, and unique gifts, with a focus on handmade and artisan-made pieces.

What stands out is how deeply the shop leans into wood as both material and mood: raw slabs sit alongside finished pieces, and the selection reaches from practical shop supplies to decorative statement items. The result is a browseable, design-forward space where the grain, edge, and finish of the wood are part of the experience, ending with the sight of live-edge slabs and handcrafted wood art displayed together.
