Oklahomans for Responsible Water Policy holds its annual meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 4:30 PM at Abendigo's in Hochatown. The meeting is free and open to the public; afterward Abendigo's stays open for anyone who wants to buy dinner. On the agenda: protecting the Lower Mountain Fork River from contamination and siltation, county and state measures on large-scale industrial water use, proposed water transfers out of McCurtain County to Altus and Texas (and from Millwood Lake to Texas), and public comments.
