Police Officers (Certified and Non-Certified)

The Broken Bow Police Department is hiring certified and non-certified police officers. Non-certified officers start at $21.04 an hour, and the department puts selected applicants through CLEET training to earn Oklahoma CLEET certification. Fully certified officers start at $23.15 an hour and must hold current Oklahoma CLEET certification or be eligible for reciprocity. Shifts are 12 hours, about 15 working days a month. Benefits include 100% employee medical (spouse and dependents extra), a yearly clothing and uniform allowance, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, a take-home vehicle program where it applies, and training. You must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check with no felony convictions, and pass a physical exam, MMPI and psychological evaluation.
