Entry and Lateral Firefighters

The Hochatown Fire Department is hiring entry-level and lateral firefighters on a 48/96 schedule, at $15 to $20 an hour. Incentive pay is added for certifications: $600 each for Firefighter II and EMT Basic, $1,000 for 100% physical fitness, and $300 to $400 for Haz-Mat Ops, continuing training, car seat tech and swift water rescue. Benefits include the state firefighters pension, medical insurance, paid training, 12 paid holidays, 10 days of paid vacation and 8 days of paid sick leave. You need a high school diploma or GED, to be 18 or older, a valid Oklahoma driver's license, to pass a physical agility test, and to obtain Firefighter 1 and 2.
