How to check if a truck is open
Local food trucks don't keep a shared schedule, so go straight to the truck's own Facebook page and look for today's post. Turn on notifications for the page so you see it when they post their spot.
For trucks at a town event, the chamber knows who's coming: Talihina Chamber (918) 567-3434, Poteau Chamber (918) 647-9178.

📋 Running a truck?
Oklahoma food truck rules
Since November 1, 2025, Oklahoma's Food Truck Freedom Act lets one state Health Department license cover a truck anywhere in Oklahoma. With the owner's OK, a truck can park anywhere zoning allows restaurants. Every truck needs a Fire Marshal inspection and decal, and trucks with propane need a yearly LP Gas permit. A town can still ask for a local permit, so call city hall before you set up.
