Where Broken Bow Lake is
The Army Corps of Engineers dammed the Mountain Fork in the 1960s, and the lake was full by 1970. It stretches 22 miles into the Ouachita Mountains and runs more than 160 feet deep near the dam. Launch from one of eleven boat ramps, swim at Stevens Gap, or fish for bass, crappie and catfish. Check the lake level before you go.
